UIW Reference Series loudspeakers are fully enclosed in sealed Medite® wood, a dense, non-resonant cabinet material stronger than MDF. With speaker enclosures, sound will radiate forward into the room precisely as the installer intends. Additionally, we are proud that Medite is a sustainable, environmentally-friendly compressed wood fiber material with more than 90% pre-consumer recycled content and zero formaldehyde.
