PCX 480

PCX 480

The 4 in 8 out DSP processor built for larger speaker systems that still demand precision at every output.

PCX 480 scales up the PCX series to handle more complex speaker system configurations, giving you four balanced XLR inputs that can be routed freely to any or all of eight balanced XLR outputs through a full digital matrix. Every input is equipped with gain, mute, HP/LP filters, 8 band PEQ, polarity, and up to 680ms of delay, and every output builds on that with a 9 band PEQ, compressor/limiter, and the same delay and polarity controls. Crossover and band pass filters span Butterworth, Bessel, and Linkwitz-Riley alignments from 1st to 8th order, with an internal signal generator for fast, accurate system setup. Local control comes via a front panel LCD, rotary encoder, and function buttons, with full PC based remote control available through the Ethernet port and PCX Editor Software.

  • 4 balanced XLR inputs and 8 balanced XLR outputs; maximum input and output level +20 dBu; dynamic range greater than 109 dB (A weighted) or 107 dB (unweighted)
  • Every input features gain, mute, HP/LP filters, 8 band PEQ, polarity, and 680ms delay; every output adds 9 band PEQ, gain, compressor/limiter, polarity, 680ms delay, and mute
  • Crossover and band pass filters: Butterworth, Bessel, or Linkwitz-Riley, 1st order (6 dB/Oct) to 8th order (48 dB/Oct); EQ types include PEQ, Low Shelf, Hi Shelf, Low Pass, High Pass, All Pass 1 and All Pass 2
  • 96 kHz sample rate with 24 bit Delta Sigma A/D and D/A converters; internal signal generator (sine, white noise, pink noise); 5 segment LED meters on all inputs and outputs with limit indication
  • Front panel LCD with rotary encoder and function buttons; Ethernet and USB B port for remote setup; PCX Editor Software for full PC based control; security lock
