PCX 88 is a serious processor for serious systems, supporting up to 16 inputs and 16 outputs through a fully flexible digital matrix where any input can be routed to any output without restriction. Eight local balanced XLR inputs and outputs handle direct analog connectivity, while an optional Dante network audio card adds a further 8 inputs and 8 outputs over Ethernet for fully networked deployments. Inputs carry gain, gate, mute, low cut, HP filter, 5 band PEQ, polarity, link, phantom power, and level control, while outputs cover HP/LP filters, 5 band PEQ, gain, compressor/limiter, polarity, 680ms delay, mute, and crossover filters. The AUTOMIX function with threshold, level, attack, and release time control makes it equally capable in speech reinforcement applications alongside traditional speaker management duties.

  • 8 balanced analog XLR inputs and 8 balanced analog XLR outputs; optional Dante card adds 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs; maximum level +20 dBu; dynamic range greater than 110 dB (A weighted)
  • Every input features gain, gate, mute, low cut, HP filter, 5 band PEQ, polarity, link, +48V phantom power (analog), and level; every output features HP/LP filters, 5 band PEQ, gain, compressor/limiter, polarity, 680ms delay, mute, and crossover filters
  • Crossover and band pass filters: Butterworth, Bessel, or Linkwitz-Riley, 1st order (6 dB/Oct) to 8th order (48 dB/Oct); AUTOMIX with threshold, level, attack, and release time
  • 96 kHz sample rate, 32 bit SHARC DSP, 24 bit Delta Sigma A/D and D/A converters; internal signal generator (sine, white noise, pink noise); 5 segment LED meters on all channels
  • Ethernet and USB B port for control; PCX Editor Software supports up to 255 units via USB, Ethernet, or serial DB9; channel linking for stereo operation; security lock
